Bachchan Pandey is a remake of the Tamil film Veeram, which came out in 2014. Filming for the film began in Jaisalmer on January 6, 2021. Last year, it was intended to be released around the holidays. It was, however, postponed due to the emerging coronavirus pandemic. Originally, the picture was set to be released on January 26, 2022.
